melissa'S STORY

In 2017, our daughter Melissa was diagnosed with sarcoma soft tissue cancer at the age of 17.  On that day, the family felt the world stopped turning; we were devastated. She has undergone 28 weeks of chemotherapy that has left her feeling tired and scared.  Both my wife and I stopped working at our jobs to take care of Melissa and ensure she made it to countless appointments each week. We stayed by her side for every minute of her treatment. We have been helped along financially with our journey thanks to the Ryan Saturno Patient Amenities Fund.  It has reduced a lot of the stress of costs associated with caring for someone dealing with cancer.
