In November 2017, my 16-year old son Cory was diagnosed with a brain tumour (ependymoma). We were blindsided to say the least. After undergoing a  7½ hour brain surgery, we thought he was ready to begin radiation when another tumour was discovered at the base of his spine which required a second surgery. This was followed by daily radiation treatments for the course of 6 ½ weeks.  I took off work during both of the surgeries as well as reducing my hours as much as possible during the radiation treatments. As a single parent, I am extremely grateful to the Ryan Saturno Patient Amenities Fund for providing financial support to us during Cory’s journey.  Thank you for your legacy Ryan.
