My name is Lynsey Frangakis, and I was diagnosed in 2011 with an Oligodendroglioma Brain Tumour at the age of 23. I underwent a couple years of chemotherapy which kept the tumour controlled. Unfortunately, after the birth of our daughter in August of 2016, there was new, significant growth. A family friend passed my name along to the Ryan Saturno Patient Amenities Fund after she heard the cost of the treatments I would be doing. The Fund has significantly helped me with these costs. I underwent 6 weeks of daily radiation in Toronto and am now of bi-weekly immunotherapy. Both are working to shrink the tumours and we are so grateful for the financial support we received from the Fund.
